Biography

Zhu Ji: Works in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Shanghai Changhai Hospital. He is an MD and Associate Chief Physician. He serves as a member of the Endoscopic Plastic Surgery Branch of the Chinese Association of Plastic and Aesthetics; a member of the Trunk Plastic Surgery Group, Plastic Surgery Branch, Chinese Medical Association; a member of the Ocular Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery Group, Plastic Surgery Branch, Chinese Medical Association; a Standing Committee Member of the Aesthetic Medicine Professional Committee, Chinese Research Hospital Association; Deputy Head of the Intimate Plastic Surgery Research Group, Aesthetic Medicine Professional Committee, Chinese Research Hospital Association; a Council Member of the Chinese Association of Plastic and Aesthetics for Stem Cell Research and Application; a member of the Burn, Trauma and Tissue Repair Professional Committee, Cross-Strait Medical and Health Exchange Association; and a mentor for standardized residency training at Changhai Hospital.

He received his bachelor's degree from Nanjing Medical University and his doctoral degree in Plastic Surgery from the Department of Plastic Surgery, Ninth People's Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. His clinical specialties include facial rejuvenation (ocular plastic surgery, facial slimming, wrinkle reduction, injectable fillers, and laser and light-based aesthetic treatments); breast surgery (breast augmentation, breast reduction, accessory breast, inverted nipple, gynecomastia, etc.) and abdominoplasty; intimate plastic surgery; axillary osmidrosis; resection of superficial tumors (pigmented nevi, cysts, lipomas, skin cancer, sarcomas, etc.); wound repair; and scar treatment. In terms of research, he has published more than 40 papers in domestic and international journals, including more than 20 as first or corresponding author. He has led and participated in multiple projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Shanghai Natural Science Foundation. He is the chief editor of "Case-Based Interpretation of Imaging for Superficial Tumors" and has co-authored 4 monographs, including "Aesthetic and Reconstructive Eyelid Surgery." He has applied for and obtained multiple patents.
